As educators/facilitators, we can inspire our learners to buy into digital learning by increasing our professional development skills on digital learning and increasing our incorporation of digital learning throughout the totality of our respective learning environments. We know that learners have access to all types of digital devices computers, cellphones, and video games just to name a few and these devices are constantly changing and improving at a rapid pace, this is what learners are used to in this digital world. This gives us a great opportunity as facilitators to inspire learners’ usage of digital learning by showcasing the endless possibilities and untapped potential that is lying in wait for them to unlock. Similar to the passion and fever that kids have for video games vying to be victorious or challenging themselves to master every aspect of a game, this is the same energy we can tap into with our incorporation of digital learning. With the AAC device initiative, the goal is to build on the digital learning capabilities technological advancements as afforded us and push for more inclusive learning environments.
